Supporting Students with Print Disabilities ALMOST FULL

Limited Capacity filling up

Let's level the playing field for students with documented print disabilities. Together, we will explore the possibilities available with Bookshare, which is an online library of accessible educational media for readers of all ages with print disabilities. I will share how you can get started with using Bookshare with eligible students.

How do you start?
What's the best device to use?
How do students use it at home?

We can also take a look at how you can move to the next level in your use of Bookshare. I'll definitely be sharing how I "tricked" one of our most reluctant readers into using Bookshare on an iPad.

Technology Integration Specialist, Chickering School
I spent sixteen years teaching 4th and 5th grade so I am familiar with the demands placed on the classroom teacher. In 2009, I made the switch to a specialist. Now I spend my time educating teachers and students. It's the best job ever. I think it's important to put a heavy emphasis on the needs of the teachers.
